I don't have the courage to savage the DNA reference... But I think it should be reviewed. Chromosomes have no visual relationship to the double helix, and are NOT within the helix - on the contrary, the double helix, millions of couples of bases long, coils and twists, knots up and splits into chromosomes in a very complicated way.
Speculation on the double helix arrangement came several years before GR but long after the war.
