I don't have the courage to savage the DNA reference as I fear it deserves. Chromosomes have no visual relationship to the double helix, and are NOT within the helix - on the contrary, the double helix, millions of couples of bases long, coils and twists, knots up and splits into chromosomes in a very complicated way.

I don't have the courage to savage the DNA reference as I fear it deserves.
